Our Staff
Behind our six orthodontists is a long-serving team of hygienists, therapists, assistants, technicians and coordinators.
Orthodontic treatment runs on more than the time you spend in the chair. From the first phone call through to the day your braces come off, you'll be looked after by a team of specialists in their own right, many of whom have been with the practice for years.
Dental Hygienists & Therapists
Each orthodontist is assisted clinically by one or two dental hygienists or dental therapists, who complete a two-year degree. They take impressions, place separators, select and fit braces, and give you the oral hygiene instruction that keeps treatment on track.
Treatment Coordinators
Every orthodontist works alongside a treatment coordinator, an experienced dental assistant or nurse responsible for your communications, from treatment plans to questions between appointments. Three secretarial managers complete and distribute that information.
Dental Assistants
Two or three dental assistants support each orthodontist, handling photography, radiography, sterilisation and direct chairside assistance. Our assistants undertake Certificate IV training through TAFE.
Dental Technicians
Four dental technicians work in our on-site laboratory, constructing mouthguards, retainers, study models and appliances, which means much of your treatment is made in the same building you're treated in.
Reception
Four reception staff manage appointments, accounts and payment plans, and will help you claim your health fund rebate on the spot through Hicaps.
